Improving discipline, administrative discipline, and public ethics in inspection activities

This morning, July 11, the Government Inspectorate held an online conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2025. Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong chaired the conference. Attending the conference at the Quang Tri province bridge were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong and Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chief Inspector of the province Nguyen Luong Binh.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the entire inspection sector carried out 2,799 administrative inspections and 39,533 specialized inspections and checks. Through inspections, management was rectified, mechanisms and legal policies were improved in many areas; economic violations of VND 129,888 billion and 722 hectares of land were discovered.

Of which, it is recommended to recover 101,519 billion VND and 617 hectares of land; to deduct and exclude from the final settlement value due to non-compliance with regulations and to request competent authorities to consider and handle 28,369 billion VND and 105 hectares of land; to issue 31,358 decisions on administrative sanctions for organizations and individuals with a total fine of 1,875 billion VND; to recommend considering and handling 671 collectives and 2,596 individuals; to transfer to the investigation agency for further consideration and handling of 118 cases and 49 subjects.

The work of receiving citizens, handling petitions, resolving complaints and denunciations is carried out in accordance with regulations. The work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity is strengthened. The work of building institutions and sectors is focused on in order to arrange the inspection agency system to be streamlined, strong, efficient, effective and efficient.

At the conference, delegates discussed and proposed a number of key solutions to effectively carry out the tasks of the inspection sector in the remaining months of 2025.

Concluding the conference, Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong emphasized: In the last 6 months of 2025, the whole sector needs to focus on thematic inspections of projects with difficulties and obstacles and thematic inspections on waste prevention and control in the management and use of real estate facilities at state agencies, organizations and enterprises; assigned surprise inspections; speed up the progress of issuing inspection conclusions.

Strengthening publicity and transparency in inspection activities, improving discipline, administrative discipline, and public ethics in inspection activities. Continuing to effectively implement the Law on Citizen Reception, the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciations, and directives and resolutions of the Party and State on this work.

Strengthen the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity. Review and perfect the laws in the field of inspection; continue to carry out the tasks and work of the project to arrange and streamline the inspection agency.
