Severe heat in many places in the Southeast

Today, severe heat with temperatures ranging from 36 to 38 degrees Celsius is likely to continue in the provinces of Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong and Dong Nai. In Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City, temperatures will be lower with temperatures ranging from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius.

In the western provinces, heat waves of 35 - 36 degrees Celsius are likely to occur in An Giang, Dong Thap and Vinh Long. Localities including Long An , Dong Thap and Ben Tre have temperatures of around 35 degrees Celsius.

By March 20, the heat wave began to decrease in intensity in the Eastern provinces by about 1 degree Celsius, with temperatures generally ranging from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, with Dong Nai still at 36 to 38 degrees Celsius. The Western provinces were at 35 to 36 degrees Celsius.

By March 21, the widespread heat wave will narrow and continue to decrease in intensity.

According to experts, the heat lasts all day from about 8am to 5pm. The peak of the heat lasts from about 12-16 hours every day, combined with low humidity in the air, making the heat more intense. The temperature in some places can reach 39-40 degrees Celsius, especially in large cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, etc.

In addition to paying attention to health protection such as: carefully covering by wearing many layers of clothing when going out, people also need to drink plenty of water, eat more fruits to supplement vitamins to improve health. In addition, special attention should be paid to fire prevention, especially when using electrical equipment, kitchen utensils, etc.
