Railway industry launches online train ticket sales via map

To celebrate the 78th anniversary of the Railway Industry's tradition day (October 21, 1946 - October 21, 2024), Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) officially launched the feature of selling train tickets via online maps.

According to VNR leaders, with the development of technology and the Internet, digital maps were born and gradually replaced paper maps. Grasping that trend, VNR has deployed the feature of selling train tickets through online maps. Now, from any location in the world , passengers can look up train schedule information and buy tickets online simply and conveniently.

In addition, schedules, service information, and ticket prices are displayed in multiple languages and support international payments via Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay, so foreign visitors can easily purchase train tickets without going through an agent.

“Selling tickets via digital maps can be considered a successful continuation of the cooperation in selling train tickets online with e-wallets and applications, aiming to diversify sales forms and reach many customer groups,” VNR leaders emphasized.

In recent years, VNR has continuously introduced new features and products, creating more convenience for customers, improving user experience as well as service quality, thereby increasing the efficiency of production and business activities, marking a significant step forward in the digital transformation process of Vietnam Railways Corporation.
