This is the 15th year that Nghe An has organized a commendation ceremony to honor and spread examples of excellent students who have overcome difficulties and to further promote the emulation movement of good teaching throughout the province.

The 2023-2024 school year witnessed a comprehensive and remarkable breakthrough in Nghe An's education sector, rising to the top of the country in both key education and mass education .

In the 2024 high school graduation exam results, Nghe An ranked 12th out of 63 provinces and cities, up 10 places compared to 2023; at the same time, ranked 4th nationwide in the national excellent student exam for the 2023-2024 school year with 90 students winning prizes; 6 students won regional and international medals.

At the ceremony, Nghe An province honored 163 students; including 6 students who won regional and international prizes, 90 students who won prizes in the national excellent student selection contest, 1 student who won a prize in the contest "Youth studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" and 66 students who achieved high scores in the 2024 high school graduation exam.

This is the 5th consecutive year that this locality has had students win high prizes in the contest "Youth studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style".

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements that students, teachers, education managers, and schools had achieved in the past school year.

“These achievements not only contribute to the glory of Nghe An province, make an important contribution to the overall achievements of the education sector in particular and the socio-economic development achievements of the province in general, but also demonstrate the great determination of the team of dedicated and responsible teachers; the tireless efforts of the students; the companionship and care of parents; the attention and close and drastic direction of the province's education sector,” Mr. Trung emphasized.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province also requested that Party committees at all levels, authorities, organizations and the whole society continue to pay more attention and care to the cause of education and training in accordance with the spirit that education and training is the top national policy, the cause of the Party, the State and the entire people, and investment in education is investment for development.

Compared to 2023, the number of students commended this year is 12 more. They received certificates of merit from the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and bonuses with a total cost of more than 2.6 billion VND.
