Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong paid an official visit to Vietnam from August 21 to 23. This is her second visit to Vietnam as Australian Foreign Minister.
Interestingly, the Australian Foreign Minister had a relaxing schedule on the morning of August 22. Ms. Penny Wong dressed simply, walked around Hoan Kiem Lake, and felt the autumn colors of Hanoi.
According to VNA, while walking in the center of Hanoi with his colleagues, the Australian foreign minister of Malaysian origin enjoyed hot egg coffee.
Egg coffee is a blend of sweet and fatty egg foam on top combined with delicious coffee on the bottom.

Egg coffee is another vivid example showing that cuisine is truly a special "ambassador" to promote the image of Vietnam to the world . At the US-North Korea Summit held in Hanoi in 2019, egg coffee was chosen to serve international and domestic reporters.
During his first visit to Vietnam in June 2022, the Australian foreign minister enjoyed Vietnamese chicken pho.

2023 is an important milestone in the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Australia as the two countries celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations. Ms. Penny Wong’s visit is one of the activities to mark this special anniversary.
Her visit follows the recent visit to Vietnam by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Minister for Trade and Tourism Don Farrell.
During her stay in Vietnam, the Australian Foreign Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son will co-chair the fifth foreign ministers’ meeting between the two countries. Ms Penny Wong will also meet Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, attend the Vietnam-Australia Forum and a number of other activities in Ho Chi Minh City.
