Thai and Chinese players got into a brawl right on the field.

Two clubs, Buriram United (Thailand) and Zhejiang (China), created a melee after the AFC Champions League match that took place on November 29. In which, Buriram United's Russian striker, Ramil Sheydayev, was surrounded and "beaten up" by players of the Chinese club.

After the match, Ramil Sheydayev was still angry about being beaten. The Russian player took to social media to challenge his opponent. On Instagram, the Russian striker wrote: "I'm still here! If you're so good, post your address!". In addition, Ramil Sheydayev also attached the account of Zhejiang Club.

Ramil Sheydayev has been widely criticized for his two provocative posts. The Buriram United striker was also at fault in the brawl. The 27-year-old is said to have attacked the Chinese player first.

In addition to Ramil Sheydayev, Theerathon Bunmathan was also involved in the brawl. The Thai defender is even said to be one of the instigators of the brawl. Chinese fans believe that Theerathon Bunmathan is still angry after the Thai team lost to China in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Meanwhile, the Matichon newspaper (Thailand) used the word "horrifying" to describe the brawl between the two teams Buriram United and Zhejiang. The newspaper headlined: "Tragedy after the match! Buriram United and Zhejiang players chase and fight horribly in the match at AFC Champions League".

Siam Sport newspaper said that AFC will have appropriate punishment for both teams after the fight. This is the second time this year that Thai teams have been involved in a brawl on the field. Previously, in the final match of SEA Games 32, U22 Thailand had a fight with U22 Indonesia. As a result, both teams received heavy punishment from AFC.

In Chinese football, earlier this month, player Wei Shihao was condemned for kicking Xuan Manh in the face during a match between Wuhan Three Town and Hanoi FC in the AFC Champions League. The striker was subsequently suspended for three matches.

Recent football violence incidents have seriously affected the image of Thai and Chinese football in the international arena.
