Ms. Le Thi Phuong Chung (from Ha Tinh ) has lived in Russia for more than 24 years and has also watched many parades or military reviews in Moscow, but this year is the year she is most excited because of the participation of the Vietnam People's Army. Before the training and rehearsal days, she posted on her personal Facebook to invite more Vietnamese people living in Moscow to the streets around Red Square to cheer for the Vietnamese soldiers.

"I was very surprised that I only called on Facebook and nearly 500 people came here to cheer for the Vietnamese team. I am very happy, my people are very enthusiastic and very united. No matter where Vietnam is, it is very emotional, very loving and respectful to everyone," Ms. Chung shared.

These days, the Russian capital is still cold, some days it snows heavily, but the cold cannot stop the footsteps and spirit of Vietnamese expatriates. They put on warm clothes, hold red flags with yellow stars, gather along the streets to follow every step of the Vietnamese soldiers.

For overseas Vietnamese like Ms. Le Thi Phuong Chung, this is not only an opportunity to admire the beautiful parades but also an opportunity to connect with compatriots, sharing pride when the image of the country is solemnly introduced in the heart of the Russian capital.

She said that because this year's parade will have leaders from many countries attending, security will be tighter than other parades she has watched. Many roads in the center are closed, so she and her friends and relatives plan to choose a route not too close to Red Square to watch the aerial performance and watch the cannon fire.
