Talking about his new role, writer Nguyen Nhat Anh said: "I don't have to wait until now to be the ambassador of Ho Chi Minh City's Reading Culture. Before that, I did many things to spread the love of books to everyone. The story of how writers write well to attract readers to books day by day, month by month, year by year is like being an ambassador. Perhaps, now I feel that I have more responsibility, more work, in addition to writing every day."
He emphasized: "The reading environment is very important. If the father drinks a lot, then the children will grow up to drink like their father. If parents like gambling, then surely their children will be more passionate about gambling than books. If there is a bookshelf in the house, children will smell the smell of new paper every day, see beautiful illustrations, and suddenly form the habit of wanting to read books without realizing it...".
"I cannot interfere in the role of film director..."
Confiding to readers, writer Nguyen Nhat Anh recalled his childhood days in the countryside, Do Do village in Ha Lam town ( Quang Nam ) did not have any bookstores. "The area where I lived was very poor. Every time someone from the city came back, I had a few more books to exchange with my friends. When I ran out of books to exchange, I would go to my friend's house and sit all day reading until I finished the new book. When I was in 9th grade, I went to Tam Ky city for the first time to visit a bookstore. Looking at a place with so many books, I really did not dare to breathe heavily. That bookstore was as beautiful as a sacred and splendid temple, making a country boy like me only know how to tiptoe in a state of fear and excitement...", the writer recalled with emotion.

Once upon a time there was a love story adapted from the work of writer Nguyen Nhat Anh with the first scenes filmed in Phu Yen
Party Committee
Later, the author brought the story of a love of reading into the characters Vinh and Phuc in Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story. Phuc's grandfather's house had a lot of books, so every time after school, he would invite his friends to the backyard to tell stories about Les Miserables, forcing the children to "bribe" ice cream or bread to listen to the story. Writer Nguyen Nhat Anh also revealed that when he was young, he loved reading books like The Young Deer, Les Miserables, No Family..., and books by two writers To Hoai and Khai Hung. At that time, in his immature childhood thoughts, the boy Nguyen Nhat Anh kept imagining that writers must be gods, not ordinary people, and even have two heads to contain so many good stories.
He was so passionate about literature that he dreamed of growing up to write many books to become a writer, or if not, to strive to become a bookstore owner so he could read... to his heart's content. And later both of his wishes came true.
Writer - Ambassador of Reading Culture of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Nhat Anh affirmed: "In life, books have a special role: Unlike a pair of sandals to wear or a car to drive, although both are material products. The difference of books is that although the form is material, the value they convey is spiritual, helping people to improve their knowledge, enrich their souls, and sharpen their ideas about human morality".

Regarding works that are made into films, writer Nguyen Nhat Anh explains why the details in the book and in the film do not match exactly. "Each character, the director has a different perspective, the screenwriter follows their own point of view, so I once wrote: For every 100 readers, there are 100 Ngan characters, 100 Ha Lan characters. Therefore, the characters and details that are made into films depend entirely on the director's ideas, how to make the film seamless - completely different from novels. Therefore, I only complete the work and characters when building on language as a writer. If I intervened to request to edit the details according to my ideas, I would have become... the assistant director of my films a long time ago", the author of Ngay Xua Co Mot Chuyen Tinh shared.
The book duo hopes to change millions of people around the world in their "digital" lives.
Previously, also at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street on the evening of April 20, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications and 1980Books organized an introduction and launch of the book series Building A Second Brain - establishing a second brain and The PARA Method - a method of organizing information at work with the participation of speaker Duong Bao Nhi.
The book duo is expected to change millions of people around the world in their "digital" lives. As a neuroscience and brain activity expert with more than 10 years of research and experience, author Tiago Forte uses his experiences and knowledge to find a method called the second brain - built to support the first brain (the brain we use every day), including tools and methods created to help you improve productivity and work effectively. Right from its launch, the book duo created a wave in the market when it was always in the TOP best-selling books of The Wall Street Journal - the world's leading famous financial newspaper.
Building A second Brain - setting up a second brain shows how to build and apply Second Brain to life and work, and teaches how to build an effective information storage system, how to automate and optimize the process of storing and processing information, how to apply the Second Brain system to daily life to make decisions and solve all surrounding problems.
When launched in foreign markets, the term Building A Second Brain received a warm welcome from many readers, from experts in many fields, to organizations related to business and education, all applying knowledge from Second Brain.
