At the Unpacked event held in France on the evening of July 10, Samsung launched the Galaxy Ring, the company's first smart ring, priced at $399.99, equivalent to more than 10 million VND.
In terms of design, the Galaxy Ring is not too different from other smart rings, available in three colors: gold, silver and black. The ring frame is made of titanium, which is water-resistant and very light, comfortable to wear.
The special feature of Galaxy Ring lies in the charging box with transparent design and modern LED lights. The ring can be used for 6-7 days after each charge and takes about 80 minutes to fully charge.

In terms of features, the Galaxy Ring focuses on health monitoring with sensors that measure heart rate, skin temperature, and sleep tracking. The ring also has smart features such as energy level assessment, personalized health advice, menstrual cycle tracking, irregular heart rate warning, and automatic workout detection.
Galaxy Ring only works with Android phones and offers the best experience when paired with other Samsung devices like Galaxy phones and Galaxy Watch.
A unique feature is that users can pinch their thumb and index finger while wearing the ring to control their Galaxy smartphone with the ability to take photos or turn off the alarm. This device is compatible with Samsung Find, when lost, the LED cluster will flash to help users find it faster.
However, after Samsung announced the above price, many users "shook their heads" when the selling price of Galaxy Ring exceeded their ability.
Mr. Hoang Huy, a techie living in Ho Chi Minh City, said that the price of Samsung's smart ring is too high, while this device is limited to connecting to other operating systems, only working with Android phones.
"This product is not too special on the market, while the price is 3-4 million higher than the Oura Ring. If Galaxy Ring is brought to Vietnam, the selling price is expected to be even higher, I myself certainly will not have enough finances to buy this device."
Similarly, Mr. Hoang Anh, living in Binh Thanh district, is using Samsung S24 and commented that, based on the technical specifications, features and other factors integrated into the Galaxy Ring, the selling price of nearly 400 USD cannot attract buyers.
Meanwhile, some Samsung users believe that despite the high price of the Galaxy Ring, there will definitely be users who will spend money to buy it because it is equipped with many health-related features and a beautiful design. However, the number of purchases will not be large.
