Japan is ready to accompany Vietnam in realizing development goals by 2045.

On the afternoon of May 23, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang received Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio, before leaving for Japan to attend the 28th Conference on the Future of Asia from May 24-26.

At the reception, the Deputy Prime Minister said that the Prime Minister shared with him the results and good impressions during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh 's working trip to attend the expanded G7 Summit and work in Japan from May 19-21.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang received Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang highly appreciated the theme of the Future of Asia Conference, "Leveraging Asia's strength to cope with global challenges" in the context of complicated and unpredictable international developments.

"Vietnam's participation at this year's Conference not only demonstrates Vietnam's deep interest in this Conference but also demonstrates Vietnam's desire and responsibility in the process of resolving global and regional challenges, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the world," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

The Deputy Prime Minister also suggested that the two sides closely coordinate in organizing practical and meaningful activities in the coming time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.

Ambassador Yamada Takio affirmed that the recent visit to Japan by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang shows the close relationship between Vietnam and Japan.

The Ambassador said that Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio highly appreciated the results of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's recent visit to Japan and expressed his gratitude for Vietnam's support, especially for Japan's "Asian Net Zero Emission Community" initiative.

In particular, the Ambassador affirmed that Japan is ready to accompany and cooperate closely with Vietnam in realizing development goals by 2045.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed in depth measures to remove specific difficulties and obstacles in implementing a number of ODA projects in Vietnam, and shared each side's concerns and wishes in this field in the coming time.
