Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên29/01/2024

ACB Securities Company (ACBS) has just announced that it has received approval from the State Securities Commission and the Ministry of Finance to increase its charter capital to VND7,000 billion, an increase of VND3,000 billion compared to the current level. If the capital increase is successful, ACBS will rank 6th in the industry in terms of charter capital.

In November 2023, ACBS also completed increasing its charter capital from VND 1,000 billion to VND 4,000 billion. In 2023, operating revenue reached nearly VND 1,675 billion, up 20% over the previous year, and after-tax profit increased 5 times, reaching more than VND 396 billion.

Similarly, Tien Phong Securities Company (TPS) was also approved to offer shares to the public to increase its charter capital. Specifically, the company will offer 100 million shares to existing shareholders by exercising purchase rights. The exercise ratio is 2:1 and the offering price is VND10,000/share. After the offering, TPS's charter capital will increase to VND3,000 billion. According to the plan approved by the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, the company wants to increase its capital to VND4,000 billion.

Or Ho Chi Minh City Securities Company (HSC) has just completed the issuance of more than 68.6 million shares to pay dividends to existing shareholders. This is part of the plan to issue 297.2 million shares approved by the State Securities Commission. In addition to the dividend shares, the remaining 228.6 million shares are offered to existing shareholders at a ratio of 2:1. The charter capital is expected to increase from VND4,581 billion to VND7,552 billion.

Previously, in December 2023, shareholders of SSI Securities Company approved the plan to issue more than 302.2 million bonus shares to increase capital, at a ratio of 100:20, or 20% (shareholders owning 100 shares will receive 20 new shares). These shares are not subject to transfer restrictions. At the same time, SSI shareholders also approved the plan to offer more than 151 million shares to existing shareholders, at a selling price of VND 15,000/share. The exercise ratio is 100:10, or 10% (shareholders owning 100 shares have the right to buy 10 new shares).

Thus, in total, SSI will issue more than 453.3 million new shares. If successful, the total expected revenue of nearly VND5,300 billion will be used to supplement capital for margin trading loans and investment in bonds, certificates of deposit and other valuable papers. SSI's charter capital is expected to increase from more than VND15,111 billion to nearly VND19,645 billion, thereby consolidating its No. 1 position in terms of capital among the group of securities companies...
