For 3 days from February 22 to February 24, the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center coordinated with Dong Mon village, Vinh Long commune (Vinh Loc), to organize the traditional Dong Mon village festival with the theme "Dong Mon - Ancient village of the ancient citadel".

Dong Mon Village, one of the typical ancient villages of Vinh Loc District, is located right at the East gate of the World Cultural Heritage of the Ho Dynasty Citadel with many historical relics, associated with the construction and formation of the Tay Do citadel such as: Dong Mon Communal House, Binh Khuong Temple, Hao Thanh... Every year, on the full moon of January, the people here organize a village festival. This is a traditional festival from ancient times that has been preserved and developed by the people until today.
The traditional festival of Dong Mon village is held to commemorate the merits of the ancestors who founded the village, bringing a prosperous life to the people. At the same time, it contributes to preserving, restoring and promoting the spiritual and cultural values of the community in the area of the World Cultural Heritage of the Ho Dynasty Citadel. From there, it promotes the development of local tourism, improving the lives of the people in the heritage area. At the same time, it educates the young generation about the good cultural traditions of the nation, raising the sense of responsibility and awareness of the people in the work of protecting, preserving and promoting the values of the Ho Dynasty Citadel heritage in particular and the quintessence of national culture in general.
Volleyball competition held during the festival
At the festival, many unique cultural and sports activities were organized, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate, such as volleyball and air volleyball competitions; folk games, blindfolded duck catching, blindfolded pot smashing, tug of war (men and women), turtle cart pushing competition between men and women, card games, sack jumping; and cultural exchange activities.
