According to the draw results, the defending champion Hanoi Police will meet Binh Dinh in the opening match of Night Wolf V-League 2023-2024. The prize money of V-League 2023-2024 increased compared to the 2023 season with a total prize value of 9.5 billion VND. Of which, the champion receives 5 billion VND, the runner-up receives 3 billion VND and 1.5 billion VND for the third-place team.
Unlike last season, V-League 2023-2024 has 1.5 relegation spots (1 direct relegation spot and the 13th/14th placed team must play a play-off with the 2nd placed team in the First Division). This makes the tournament expected to be more competitive, attractive and dramatic.
Clubs are allowed to register a maximum of 3 foreign players and 1 Vietnamese player of foreign origin (naturalized player), while still being allowed to register 1 foreign player of Vietnamese origin. Clubs participating in AFC tournaments are allowed to register 4 foreign players.
Meanwhile, the First Division has 12 participating teams. The champion team is promoted to V-League with a prize of 2 billion VND, the second-place team plays a play-off. The 2023-2024 First Division has 2 teams relegated to the Second Division.
The 2023-2024 Casper National Cup brings together 26 teams from the V-League and First Division, scheduled to kick off on November 24. The winning team will receive a prize of 2 billion VND.
In V-League 2023-2024, there will be a maximum of 4 matches (from Ha Tinh to the North) in each round applying VAR technology.
