Despite many efforts, for more than 3 months now, storm number 3 (Yagi) has left serious consequences in Cao Bang .
According to information from Cao Bang Road Joint Stock Company, due to the impact of storm No. 3, National Highway 34, the section passing through Cao Bang province, has suffered serious landslides with 359 positive slope landslides, with an estimated volume of about 123,000m3; 54 negative slope landslides and more than 29 damaged road surface locations.
During the time before, during and after the storm, hundreds of officers, engineers and traffic workers of Cao Bang Road Management Joint Stock Company did not mind the difficulties and were ready to face the dangers to clear the roads and ensure smooth traffic on the routes.
Cao Bang Road Management Joint Stock Company mobilized vehicles and machinery to repair road surfaces on several traffic routes after the impact of storm No. 3.
Since the beginning of the rainy season, the unit has mobilized more than 20 excavators and nearly 30 trucks to operate continuously and non-stop to clear the route and clear landslides on National Highway 34.
After many efforts, the road management unit has now completed the work of clearing the road to ensure traffic on Highway 34, ensuring people's travel.
Up to now, landslides and traffic jams have been thoroughly handled, however, many sections of road surface through Nguyen Binh, Bao Lac, and Bao Lam districts are still peeling and cracking, the positive and negative slopes are continuously eroding... along with a series of rough subsidence causing obstacles and potential traffic safety risks.
To completely restore the traffic system on the route, Cao Bang Department of Transport is coordinating with relevant agencies to develop a plan to request the Ministry of Transport to issue a construction order, as a basis for repairing and restoring traffic for damaged locations of a complex nature.
