NTO - Adding members to the Emulation Council

On January 24, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 91/QD-TTg on supplementing and perfecting the members of the Central Emulation and Reward Council.

Accordingly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, participated as a member of the Central Emulation and Reward Council.

This Decision takes effect from January 24, 2024.

According to Decision 378/QD-TTg dated March 23, 2022, the Central Emulation and Reward Council is an advisory body to the Party and State on emulation and reward work.

The Council is responsible for coordinating between Party and State agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio- political organizations and localities in advising and proposing policies and strategies on organizing emulation movements and emulation and reward work nationwide.

The Council advises and consults competent authorities to decide on conferring and posthumously conferring the titles of "Labor Hero", "Hero of the People's Armed Forces", "Heroic Province", "Heroic City" (Heroic titles) according to the provisions of the Law on Emulation and Commendation.

At the same time, the Council periodically evaluates the emulation movement and reward work; recommends and proposes policies and measures to promote the patriotic emulation movement; advises on summarizing emulation and reward work; proposes amendments and supplements to emulation and reward regimes and policies; monitors, urges and supervises emulation and reward work.
