According to the incident, in the early morning of January 1, after attending the year-end party of the agency, Ms. N. took a taxi home in Cai Khe ward, Ninh Kieu district. When arriving home, N. discovered that she had left her house and car keys at the agency, so she called Mr. NMT (who worked at the same bank as N.) to ask him to get them for her. Mr. T. brought the keys to N. near Tran Phu street. At this time, N. asked T. to take her to Huynh Cuong lake to get her personal belongings.

When arriving at Huynh Cuong Street, N. got out of the car and met Ms. HNBT (41 years old; Mr. T.'s wife). The two argued, leading to a fight. At the time of the incident, NTNQ (Ms. BT's younger sister) also used her helmet to hit N. The entire incident was recorded by many passersby and posted on social media with the content that the female bank employee was beaten out of jealousy, attracting thousands of interactions.

After that, Ninh Kieu District Police received a report from Ms. N. that Ms. BT used a helmet to repeatedly hit her in the head and eyes, causing injuries and tearing her shirt and skirt.

Ms. T's sister also used a helmet to beat N. Through investigation, Ms. B. T and her sister admitted to violating the law.

Ninh Kieu District Police also prosecuted the case of "Intentionally causing injury", "Humiliating others" and "Disturbing public order".
