From November 21, Hospital 1A cooperated with Children Action to examine and perform free surgery for children with limb deformities.
The children in this free examination and surgery session are between 2 and 16 years old. They were born with deformities such as clubfoot, muscle atrophy, muscle deformities, scoliosis, etc. They all have difficulty walking and grasping things, and many even have to use wheelchairs.
From November 21, Hospital 1A cooperated with Children Action to examine and perform free surgery for children with limb deformities.
Through this program, every year hundreds of children receive free surgery from Hospital 1A and international organizations, opening up a better future for them.
Mr. Thai Chau Ve, the grandfather of Nguyen Thai An (2 years old) living in Cu Chi district (HCMC) shared: “I am An's grandfather and I feel very happy and pleased to know about this program. An was born during the Covid-19 epidemic in 2021. Since birth, she has had her fingers on both hands. Her family has never taken her to any hospital for examination or treatment. Today, we are so happy to know about this program and An has been admitted to the hospital for finger separation surgery.”

Like An's grandfather, dozens of parents whose children had surgery this time were touched and happy.
It is known that this is a series of free medical examination and treatment activities of Hospital 1A in collaboration with international organizations, with the desire to share the responsibility of caring for disadvantaged people in society, bringing everyone a brighter future. Coming to the hospital, patients are examined, screened, and prescribed free surgery by dedicated, experienced specialists.
Many families were moved when their children received free surgery.
Hospital 1A, formerly known as the “Rehabilitation Center for Paralyzed Children”, was established on November 8, 1983. Now it has a shorter name, “Hospital 1A”. After 4 decades (40 years) of formation and development with the contributions of many generations, Hospital 1A has successfully completed the political tasks assigned by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs .

Hospital 1A also cooperates with international organizations: Project VietNam Foundation, Children Action, ReSurge International, Surgicorps International, Heart and Hope to examine and perform free surgery for 737 children with cleft lip, cleft palate, congenital malformations...
