In communication activities, all levels of the Women's Union always focus on choosing scientific methods and approaches, innovative and creative content, concise, easy to understand, easy to implement, suitable for the locality and target women and children; encourage suitable models that can be replicated in many localities.
With the efforts in implementing Project 8, National Target Program 1719, up to now, many gender stereotypes and backward customs such as: Girls have to leave school early to work and get married early; women are not the heads of the family; women are responsible for housework so that men can take care of important matters; raising children is the responsibility of women, women do not have the right to take the initiative when getting married, do not take the initiative to go for prenatal check-ups; using unqualified midwives when giving birth at home... have been re-perceived and have changed positively. It can be affirmed that the communication activities under Project 8, National Target Program 1719 have initially created a change in awareness in the community about gender equality in many areas for women and children in ethnic minority areas. From 2022 to now, through the implementation of Project 8, 5 mountainous districts have appointed 17 more key female officials at district and commune levels.
