Vinh Hung Ward organizes a ceremony to grant marriage certificates with foreign elements

On the morning of July 14, the People's Committee of Vinh Hung Ward (Hanoi City) solemnly held a ceremony to grant marriage certificates to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Van - Vietnamese nationality and Mr. Steenbergen Casper Bessel Roelof - Dutch nationality.

Under the witness of the ward leaders and the civil servant in charge of Justice of the ward People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Van and Mr. Steenbergen Casper Bessel Roelof voluntarily signed the Marriage Registration Book and Marriage Certificate, in accordance with the provisions of law.

In his congratulatory speech, Chairman of Vinh Hung Ward People's Committee Pham Hai Binh said: At this time, the whole country of Vietnam has just officially implemented the 2-level local government model. Accordingly, many administrative procedures that were previously under the authority of the city and district levels are now under the authority of the ward. Among them, there is the procedure for registering marriages with foreign elements. At Vinh Hung Ward People's Committee, cadres and civil servants have made efforts to carry out this administrative procedure quickly, neatly and in accordance with regulations.

On behalf of the leaders of Vinh Hung ward, the Chairman of Vinh Hung ward People's Committee congratulated Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Van and Mr. Steenbergen Casper Bessel Roelof on officially becoming husband and wife from today according to the provisions of Vietnamese law.

Comrade Pham Hai Binh expressed his respect for Mr. Steenbergen Casper Bessel Roelof for coming to work and loving the culture, country and people of Vietnam, contributing to Vietnam's economic development and especially becoming a member of a Vietnamese family; at the same time, he expressed his wish that Mrs. Nguyen Thi Anh Van and Mr. Steenbergen Casper Bessel Roelof continue to spread the traditional culture of the Vietnamese people to the Netherlands as well as friends in other countries around the world.

In her emotion, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Van shared: “I am always proud to tell my international friends that I was born in Vietnam, a small, warm and beautiful country. I am extremely touched, surprised and grateful that in the busyness of the new government model, the people in the ward are still very enthusiastic and thoughtful in helping us complete the procedures as well as giving us a special ceremony today.”

Mr. Steenbergen Casper Bessel Roelof shared in Vietnamese: “I would like to sincerely thank the People's Committee of Vinh Hung Ward for supporting and creating conditions for this important moment to come true. Your guidance and help is something I deeply appreciate. I feel honored to be a part of this community through marriage. Thank you Vietnam. Thank you for the thoughtfulness of the leaders, brothers and sisters! I will engrave in my heart the warm images that everyone has given us on this special day today”.

At the ceremony, Party Secretary, Chairman of Vinh Hung Ward People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung and Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of Vinh Hung Ward People's Committee Pham Hai Binh presented flowers and marriage certificates to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Van and Mr. Steenbergen Casper Bessel Roelof.
