Dong Da District hands over work, ready to operate two-level local government model

On the afternoon of June 29, Dong Da District People's Committee conducted a handover of work between the Chairman of Dong Da District People's Committee and the Chairmen of the People's Committees of 5 new wards.

According to Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Dong Da District People's Committee Le Tuan Dinh, in the coming time, the wards will focus on doing a good job of stabilizing the organization after the merger, arranging and assigning cadres, civil servants and workers to ensure the right job positions, promoting the effectiveness of the administrative apparatus, meeting the requirements in the new situation.

At the same time, organize a review, statistics, and full assessment of the current status of the area in terms of population, economic conditions, technical and social infrastructure, security and order, cultural, educational, and medical institutions... as a basis for building a development orientation suitable to the specific conditions of each ward.

Based on the assessment results and practical requirements when organizing two-level local governments, units will develop programs and work plans for the last 6 months of 2025 that are close to the actual situation, ensuring effective implementation of key tasks under the conditions of the new apparatus coming into operation.

In addition, continue to fully and promptly implement social security policies, pay special attention to vulnerable groups and people in difficult circumstances, and ensure that no one is left behind in the process of administrative unit rearrangement. At the same time, proactively grasp and promptly resolve recommendations and feedback from people and businesses.

From July 1, 5 new wards of Dong Da district (old) including: Dong Da, O Cho Dua, Kim Lien, Lang and Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam officially operated under the two-level local government model. Up to now, the wards have basically completed all preparations for organizing and operating the two-level local government model, ready to officially come into operation from July 1, 2025.
