Conference Overview.
At the conference, the two sides highly appreciated the cooperative relationship between Military Region 4 and Lao units and localities in recent times, reflecting the viewpoints and foreign policies set forth by the two Parties, two States and two Ministries of National Defense .

In 2024 and the first 6 months of 2025, Military Region 4 and units and localities of the two countries will have good cooperative relations, always coordinate to grasp the situation along the border, maintain political security and social order and safety, and at the same time do a good job of expert work (in village clusters, investing in production and business), well implement a number of projects, models, projects and cooperate in exchanging delegations in the border area.
The functional forces of the two countries have done a good job of advising and coordinating to build a strong grassroots political system at all levels from villages, hamlets to hamlet clusters, districts and provinces, contributing to helping people develop the economy , culture and society.
At the same time, the parties have coordinated well in searching, collecting, and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos and implementing a number of other tasks.

In 2025, the Military Region 4 Command and Division 1, Division 4, the Military Commands of Vientiane Province, Xay Som Bun, the Military Commands of the provinces: Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang, Bo Ly Kham Xay, Kham Muon, Savannakhet, Salavan sharing the border with the Military Region have agreed and signed a number of cooperation contents. In particular, regularly proactively coordinate to grasp and closely manage the local situation, especially the plots and sabotage tricks of hostile forces. Continue to promote propaganda to make the people and armed forces of the two countries deeply understand the history, tradition and sentiment, the great friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
