The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued decisions (No. 3975/QD-BVHTTDL, 3976/QD-BVHTTDL and 3989/QD-BVHTTDL dated December 10, 2024) on including 3 cultural heritages of Quang Ninh in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
According to the decisions, Quang Ninh has 3 recognized national intangible cultural heritages including: Wind abstinence custom of Dao people in Dong Van commune, Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province; Cap sac ceremony of Dao Thanh Y people in Ha Long city, Uong Bi city, Cam Pha city, Mong Cai city, Van Don district, Ba Che district, Binh Lieu district, Tien Yen district, Dam Ha district, Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province; New rice celebration ceremony of Tay people in Ha Long city, Cam Pha city, Dong Trieu city, Binh Lieu district, Tien Yen district, Ba Che district, Hai Ha district, Dam Ha district, Quang Ninh province.
Up to now, Quang Ninh province has 15 national intangible cultural heritages (12 previously recognized national intangible cultural heritages include: Then practice of the Tay, Nung, Thai people; Nha To singing (singing at the communal house); Cua Ong temple festival; Tien Cong festival; Tra Co communal house festival; Quan Lan communal house festival; Bach Dang festival; Soong Co folk singing performance art of the San Chi people in Quang Ninh province; Soong Co folk singing performance art of the San Diu people in Quang Ninh province; Dam Ha communal house festival; Van Ninh communal house festival; Xuong Dong festival). These are invaluable assets in the cultural treasure of ethnic groups living in the province.
Realizing the importance of cultural heritage conservation in socio-economic development, in recent years, Quang Ninh province has always paid special attention and devoted many resources to the conservation, restoration and promotion of heritage values associated with the exploitation of unique cultural tourism products. In particular, intangible cultural heritages have become one of the important resources to support the sustainable development of the tourism industry; contributing to introducing and promoting the beauty of the land, culture and people of Quang Ninh to friends from all over the world.
