In response to the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), Quang Tri province organized many meaningful activities to honor the great contributions of the press in the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland.
100-year journey – Pride and aspiration
The Vietnamese revolutionary press has gone through a century of formation and development, closely linked to the ups and downs of the country. In Quang Tri – the heroic land, where the golden pages of the nation’s history are recorded – the press has always played an important role in transmitting information, promoting patriotism, and truthfully reflecting the breath of life.
Towards this important milestone, the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists Association in collaboration with the Vietnam Press Museum organized the event "Quang Tri Press Festival" with many meaningful activities:
• The thematic exhibition "100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism - A century of fighting - Pride of Quang Tri Journalism" (April 9, 2025) will recreate the glorious historical journey of revolutionary journalism through documentary photos, articles and valuable memorabilia.
• The scientific seminar "Press accompanies the homeland and country" (April 9, 2025) is an opportunity for experts and journalists to discuss the mission of the press in the new context.
• Exchange generations of journalists, connect those who have contributed to the provincial journalism industry.
Honoring writers
In particular, the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day with the theme “100-year Journey – Pride & Aspiration” (June 14, 2025) will be an important highlight. The program honors outstanding journalists who have made great contributions to the development of Quang Tri province’s press. At the same time, the 8th Quang Tri Provincial Press Award – 2024 will also be presented to outstanding works.
In addition, the Gala Reunion will be a warm space for generations of journalists to meet, spread their passion and share emotional career stories.
All events will be broadcast live on QRTV, livestreamed on digital platforms and broadcast on many TV channels nationwide.
The 100th anniversary of Vietnam's revolutionary press is not only an opportunity to look back on the past but also a launching pad for new steps forward. In the context of strong technological development, the press needs to continue to innovate, maintaining its identity and mission.
