RBC Ukraine reported on March 12 that members of a Russian volunteer force crossed the border into Russia's Belgorod region and advanced in several directions.
Specifically, gunmen from the Free Russian Corps (FRL) announced their return to Russian territory. FRL is an organization that fights alongside the Ukrainian army against Russian forces.
Volunteers from the "Siberian Battalion" are also said to have entered Russian territory. They released a video showing a group of soldiers advancing through a forest.
The "Siberian Battalion" is made up of Russians who oppose Moscow's military campaign in Ukraine. It is the first group with an ethnic Russian component to become part of the Ukrainian army.
The unit said "fierce fighting is taking place on Russian territory".
The FRL has previously conducted incursions into Russian territory, maintaining control of an area and confronting the Russian military. More recently, gunmen conducted an incursion into the Belgorod region and claimed to have “eliminated” several Russian servicemen.
Russia has not immediately commented on the above information.

Writing on Telegram, the Governor of Kursk said that the village of Tyotkino (Glushkovsky district) was being shelled by Ukraine, causing casualties. Accordingly, the enemy tried to penetrate the village of Tyotkino and fighting broke out but no breakthrough occurred.
A Russian blogger said that the enemy, with the support of mobile armored groups, infantry and light equipment, tried to break through in the direction of Grayvoron (Belgorod province).
This blogger believes that Russian artillery and air force are very active in hunting down enemy armored groups. In addition, this blogger also believes that the enemy attacked with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) but were intercepted by Russian air defense.
