Rolling out starting in late March, the update will be available on the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series. Similar to the recently launched Galaxy S24 series [2], the upcoming update will set a new standard for mobile AI experiences through a hybrid model that combines on-device AI and cloud-based AI.

This means more Galaxy users will be able to take advantage of Galaxy AI features that improve communication on AI-powered devices. These features include the ability to adjust the tone of messages and translate messages into 13 different languages with Chat Assist.

The extensive integration of Galaxy AI across the entire Galaxy ecosystem also facilitates a seamless experience as users perform everyday tasks on their AI-powered Galaxy devices, making them more productive than ever. Search functions have been enhanced with Google’s Circle to Search feature, providing intuitive search results with just a simple circling gesture.

In addition, the powerful Note Assist that helps format, summarize, and translate notes is a life-enhancing feature that Galaxy AI brings. Or the Browsing Assist feature that allows users to track information faster by comprehensively summarizing the content of articles.

The creativity and personalization don’t stop there. Customizing your Galaxy devices is even easier than before with AI-generated wallpapers, allowing AI-powered devices to bring any creative idea to life.

“Our goal with Galaxy AI is not only to pioneer a new era of AI on mobile, but also to empower users by making AI more accessible,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Experience Business at Samsung Electronics. “This is just the beginning for Galaxy AI, as we plan to bring this experience to over 100 million Galaxy users by 2024 and will continue to innovate to unlock the limitless potential of AI on mobile.”
