On May 10, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held a press conference to introduce the event "Vietnam Sea and Island Festival, Vung Tau City 2024".
The Festival will take place over four days from May 23 to 26 at Vung Tau Front Beach Square.

Mr. Tran Dinh Khoa, Secretary of Vung Tau City, said that this is the first time the city has organized a large-scale sea and island festival.
On the occasion of April 30 and May 1, Ba Ria - Vung Tau attracted 636,000 visitors, of which Vung Tau welcomed 300,000 visitors.
"If the weather is favorable, our program is attractive enough to attract a large number of visitors to Vung Tau, creating conditions for the local tourism brand to fly higher and further," said Mr. Khoa.
The highlight of this island festival is the art performance “Aspirational Journey” on the evening of May 25 with nearly 700 dancers, actors, artists… participating.
People and tourists will enjoy performances such as hydraulic lifting techniques, automatic programming Hoist system, light and laser system, combination of dance, circus and many changes in aerial performance positions... The show also has the participation of many famous artists.
Mr. Tran Dinh Khoa, Secretary of Vung Tau City, shared about the meaning of the Sea and Island Festival.
The program hopes to build a profound model of a festival about the sea and islands with the hope that this activity will become a regular, annual cultural exchange event about the sea.
This is a good opportunity for localities to cooperate to exploit and join hands to contribute to preserving our country's sea and islands.
Within the Festival series of events, there will also be a series of programs such as: a food fair from May 23 to 26, The Luminous Harmony Show Minishow on the nights of May 23 and 24, a yoga performance festival, a Vietnamese Ao Dai parade festival, a mobile propaganda team for Vietnam's seas and islands...
