On the evening of October 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA) held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day and honor "Outstanding Ho Chi Minh City Enterprises and Entrepreneurs" in 2024. This is also an opportunity to recognize the key role of enterprises in promoting sustainable development.
Saigon Trading Group - One Member Limited Liability Company (Satra) and its member units, including Vietnam Livestock Industry Corporation (Vissan), Coastal Economic Development Corporation (Cofidec), and branches of the Satra system, were honored to receive the title of "Typical Ho Chi Minh City Entrepreneur Enterprise" in 2024.
This is a recognition of Satra's efforts in continuously improving production and business activities and protecting the environment.
Satra always focuses on sustainable development, balancing economic benefits and environmental responsibility. In Satra's retail system, all nylon bags have been replaced with biodegradable bags.
In particular, Satra encourages suppliers to use environmentally friendly packaging and minimize the use of foam trays during processing. These activities help businesses minimize negative impacts on the environment and meet export standards.

Vissan is a typical unit in applying measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and move towards the Net Zero target. The company has applied modern technology to manage the production chain, while researching and developing products using environmentally friendly materials.
“Waste treatment is a big challenge, but we always try to optimize the process from farm to factory,” said Mr. Nguyen Phuc Khoa, Chairman of Vissan Board of Directors.
The trend of going green is becoming a global trend, as businesses and organizations around the world gradually realize the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development. This year's vote also added the criterion of "Sustainable development strategy", encouraging businesses to digitally transform to support the greening process.
To be able to "go green", businesses need to boldly "go digital", applying new technology for sustainable development. This process has been carried out in parallel by Satra in recent years.
