At the special program "Thien 2025" held at Phat Tich Pagoda ( Bac Ninh ) on June 15 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the "Happiness for Everyone" Fund, Sao Mai Nguyen Thu Hang shared for the first time about her charity journey besides her singing career.
For the past 10 years, Nguyen Thu Hang has held the position of Executive Vice President of the Happiness for Everyone Fund - a non-profit charity fund, operating with the goal of sponsoring congenital heart surgery for children under 16 years old and supporting disadvantaged cancer patients across the country.
Sharing about her role, Nguyen Thu Hang said that over the years, in parallel with her artistic journey, she has always devoted her heart and time to accompanying the fund. In her role on the Executive Board, she has constantly strived with the leadership team to find ways to bring more life opportunities to the unfortunate.
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huong, President of the Happiness for Everyone Fund, shared that since 2015, the fund has sponsored surgeries for 532 children with congenital heart disease, helping them regain a healthy heartbeat. More than 11,000 gifts have also been delivered to patients in especially difficult circumstances. The fund has become a trusted address for nearly 80,000 benefactors at home and abroad.
Within the framework of the “Thien 2025” program, the fund launched a fundraising campaign with the goal of supporting at least 10 children awaiting heart surgery. Within 1 hour of launching, the fund received 920 million VND in support.
As Vice President of the Happiness for Everyone Fund, Sao Mai Nguyen Thu Hang said that this is also the beginning of the next 10-year journey, with the wish to bring 1,000 healthy hearts to disadvantaged children with congenital heart disease.
Sharing the reason for playing an important role in the Fund for nearly a decade but never making it public, Nguyen Thu Hang confided: “As an artist, I always want the audience to recognize my efforts in art and constantly strive to develop my career. As for the Happiness for Everyone Fund, I am just a small contributor with everyone to do the best things for children and patients."
Morning star Nguyen Thu Hang has also just officially returned after 2 years of being quietly absent from the media. The female singer recently made an impression when performing the song “Qua cau gio bay” at the fashion night of designer Cao Minh Tien within the framework of Vietnam International Fashion Week 2025.
