The festival of the first Emperor of Vietnam is about to open

The festival of Ly Nam De temple, the first Emperor of the Vietnamese people, will take place on February 9, which is January 12.


According to information from the Cultural Center of Pho Yen City ( Thai Nguyen ), King Ly Nam De's real name was Ly Bi (born in 503, died in 548), his hometown was Co Phap village, Tien Phong commune, Pho Yen district, Thai Nguyen province (now Tien Phong ward, Pho Yen city).

In January 544, Ly Bi ascended the throne as Emperor and named the country Van Xuan (expressing his wish for the country to develop and be peaceful forever).

To commemorate the merits of the first Emperor of the nation, Thai Nguyen province organizes the Ly Nam De Temple Festival (Muc Temple, at Hoa Binh residential group, Tien Phong ward, Pho Yen city), Spring At Ty 2025. The festival takes place on February 9 (ie January 12 of the lunar calendar).

In order for the festival to take place successfully, right after the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, the leaders of Thai Nguyen province and Pho Yen city regularly inspected and supervised the preparations for the Ly Nam De Temple Festival.

Up to now, the preparation work has been basically completed; tasks such as festival decoration and preparation of the festival area have been completed. The ceremonial boards, rituals, palanquin processions, incense offerings, offerings, sacrifices, and art programs have been prepared to ensure that they are in accordance with tradition and meet the religious needs of the people...
