Right from the beginning of the new year, many international cruise ships have docked at Vietnamese ports, bringing thousands of tourists to experience exciting cross-Vietnam journeys. This is a positive signal, towards an optimistic year for the international tourism industry in general and cruise tourism in particular in Vietnam.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luu, General Director of Saigontourist Travel Service Company, the international cruise tourism sector is showing rapid recovery and growth in the 2023-2024 cruise tourism season.

This is a positive result from efforts in adjusting tourist visa policies, improving infrastructure, building new accommodation and tourist attractions that both meet international standards and ensure the exploitation of tourism strengths in each locality; at the same time, travel agencies are constantly improving service quality and professionalism to retain international cruise ship passengers with the most unique and professional tourism products.

Leaders of Quang Ninh Department of Tourism and Ha Long International Passenger Port welcomed tourists to Ha Long by sea on the first day of the new year 2024.

Specifically, at Saigontourist Travel Company, in the first 2 months of 2024 alone, the Company continuously welcomed and served 10 international cruise ships from Royal Caribbean Group, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, Crystal Cruises... to Vietnam, bringing more than 30,000 international visitors to "break ground" at the beginning of the year, an increase of 15% over the same period in 2023.

Following the Spectrum of the Seas, Saigontourist Travel Company will welcome the Celebrity Solstice back on a 5-day cruise from February 22-26 to Ha Long, Thua Thien Hue, Ba Ria-Vung Tau; and provide maritime agency services for the Crystal Symphony, a Crystal Cruises ship, to Vietnam from February 20-25.

It is expected that in 2024, the number of cruise passengers will increase by 10-15% compared to 2023. And international cruise lines are increasing their trips to Asia-Pacific, including Vietnam. Especially in Vietnam, tourists love long-term cross-Vietnam cruises, stopping at many ports in Ha Long, Hue/Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, etc.
