To ensure traffic safety and order for students, from October 1 to 31, the Traffic Police and Order Team of Thanh Mien District Police fined 245 cases of traffic violations with a total fine of 683 million VND.
Of which, Thanh Mien district traffic police detected 117 vehicles (including 78 cars and 39 motorbikes) violating speed, accounting for 48% of the total number of cases penalized in October and an increase of 87 cases compared to the same period in 2023.
The authorities have fined the above cases a total of 281 million VND and temporarily revoked the driving licenses of 41 cases. According to statistics, most of the violations were speeding by 10 - 20 km/h.
Currently, in Thanh Mien district, there are 3 provincial roads including 392, 392B and 399 that have speed limit signs. Although the authorities have actively promoted and mobilized, speeding violations still occur frequently and are one of the main causes of traffic accidents.
