Exciting contest 'Students in scientific research and innovative startups 2025' Dong A University

DNVN - On July 4, Dong A University held the closing and awarding ceremony of the 11th "Student Scientific Research" competition in 2025, and at the same time launched the semi-final round of the startup competition with the theme "UDA Startup & Innovation 2025".

The 11th Dong A University Student Scientific Research Competition in 2025 had 54 quality topics from 173 students in many different majors, nominated from hundreds of exciting research topics in the faculties. The final round of the competition witnessed explosive competitions and debates from 45 outstanding groups of topics, with 24 topics in the Economic - Social Council, 9 topics in the Technical - Health Council, and 12 topics in the Language Council.

Of which, 23 highly applicable topics from the Science and Technology - Health, Economics - Society, and Language councils were excellently named in the final award categories. In addition to 2 First prizes, 3 Second prizes, 9 Third prizes, and 9 Encouragement prizes, the contest also awarded the Most Favorite Topic; Excellent Collective and Excellent Instructor awards.

This year’s competition gathered many topics that are products with practical applications, serving the community and having the potential to develop into high-potential startup projects. The special point is that all research results of students entering the final round were published in prestigious academic forums. Of which, 5 articles were published in scientific journals in the scoring category of the State Council of Professors and 40 articles were published in scientific proceedings.

According to the Organizing Committee, among the outstanding topics in the final round, there are 4 topics nominated to participate in the "Student Scientific Research" award at the ministerial level and 10 topics to participate in the "Student Scientific Research" award at the Da Nang City level in the coming time.

Right after the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 11th "Student Scientific Research" competition, in 2025, Dong A University held the semi-finals of the "UDA Startup & Innovation 2025" startup competition, with an attractive competition from 23 startup projects in 3 highly applicable fields: engineering, trade - services and health - medicine.

The semi-finals of the competition took place continuously over 2 days, July 4-5, in which technology application projects accounted for 2/3 of the total number of projects that entered the semi-finals. Before that, the project teams were also thoroughly trained on the BMC business model, building a usable MVP product, and conducting market research with the support of a team of mentors - startup consultants with rich practical experience.

The final round of the Startup & Innovation 2025 competition with the 15 most outstanding projects is expected to take place on September 5.
