In a commentary on Sky Sports, former player Roy Keane said: " Haaland is the best striker in the world but his performance today was so poor. Haaland is almost like a player in the second division (League Two) ".
"Haaland needs to improve his performances further. However, this will happen in the next few years. My opinion on Haaland has not changed. He is fantastic but still has a lot to do to become a complete striker ," Keane added.
Haaland had a day to forget against Arsenal.
Agreeing, former Man City defender Micah Richards said: " Haaland was strange today. He is clearly a player with excellent finishing ability. However, Haaland had difficulty participating in the build-up and keeping the ball. This missed shot is unacceptable. He was not really focused ."
Haaland squandered the best chance as Man City were held to a 0-0 draw by Arsenal at the Etihad. At home, Man City had an 8-year winning streak against their London rivals. Man City are 3 points behind Liverpool and, more notably, Pep Guardiola and his players have yet to win a single match against the top 5 Premier League clubs this season.
" Man City's form in big games this season has been shocking. This has never happened in previous seasons. All the injuries and stress over the years are piling up on Pep and his players this season. Maybe they really are having problems ," Roy Keane doubted Man City's ability to win the championship.
