On the afternoon of September 20, at the Government Guest House, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District coordinated with the National Archives Center I under the Department of State Records and Archives, Ministry of Home Affairs to open the online exhibition "Dear Capital People" with many archival documents published for the first time.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Hoan Kiem District People's Committee Pham Tuan Long said: "The exhibition 'Hey Capital People!' is a meaningful activity in the series of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) of Hoan Kiem District in particular and Hanoi Capital in general.
The exhibition is held online, applying digital technology , both demonstrating the dynamism and innovation of the Capital and preserving traditional features through each valuable documentary photo displayed. Through the exhibition, I hope that the public, especially the young generation, will better understand the historical significance and the tradition of steadfast and indomitable revolutionary struggle of our nation," Mr. Pham Tuan Long shared.
According to Director of the State Records and Archives Department Dang Thanh Tung, the launch of an online 3D exhibition on the theme of revolutionary struggle to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital is a very meaningful event for the people of the Capital in particular and the people of the whole country in general, especially in today's strong digital transformation revolution.
"The exhibition will provide useful information about the history of Hanoi Capital - the land of thousands of years of culture, heroism and peace in the flow of Vietnamese history, thereby contributing to nurturing the patriotism and pride of Hanoi people, along with the development of cultural industry in the capital.

I hope this will be an attractive exhibition, attracting the public, bringing good effects, being educational and will be strongly spread in society. I hope that the two units will continue to cooperate to implement more meaningful activities, and at the same time continue to spread the exhibition to the public, especially the young generation, so that they have the opportunity to learn about history from a true perspective from archival documents," Mr. Tung emphasized.
In 3D format, the online exhibition allows viewers to experience Hanoi during the resistance war against French colonialism anytime, anywhere. The exhibition's documents and images are presented in a 3D space from Hanoi Citadel to Dong Xuan Market, passing through the Old Quarter and Opera House Square towards Bac Bo Palace.
The exhibition is divided into 3 parts: Part 1: "Hanoi on fire, smoke and fire fill the sky" introduces documents and images about the early stages of the French colonial invasion in Hanoi; Part 2: "Hanoi stands up" introduces documents and images about the revolutionary struggles in Hanoi from 1930 to 1954; Part 3: "Hanoi on the day of victory" introduces documents and images of the day of liberation, forever echoing the song of triumph.
Images of the liberation day of October 10, 1954 were vividly recreated with the image of the red flag with yellow star flying on the Hanoi Flag Tower, the people of the whole country and the people of the capital were extremely excited to welcome the liberation of Hanoi.
