Accordingly, communes and wards must submit a report to the Provincial Land Fund Development Center on the need for resettlement in the area until 2030 before July 20. After the above time, any locality that does not submit a report will be considered as having no need for resettlement and the Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune or ward must be responsible to the Provincial People's Committee.

Also according to the Provincial Land Fund Development Center, after localities submit reports, the unit will advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue an investment plan to build resettlement areas in the province for the period 2026-2030.

Previously, in June 2025, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, after synthesizing opinions from localities, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center developed a draft investment plan to build resettlement areas in Dong Nai province (old) for the period 2026-2030 and submitted it to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and promulgation.

Accordingly, in the period from 2026 to 2030, in the old Dong Nai province, it is expected to build 57 resettlement areas with an area of over 725 hectares. These resettlement areas will have a total of more than 24,700 resettlement plots after completion of construction, meeting the expected resettlement needs of nearly 16,000 households affected when implementing key projects in the period of 2026-2030.

After the merger of Dong Nai province (old) and Binh Phuoc province (old) into the new Dong Nai province, the need for resettlement when implementing projects in the new Dong Nai province has changed.

Therefore, on July 8, the Provincial People's Committee issued a document assigning the People's Committees of communes and wards to review and compile statistics on resettlement needs until 2030 in the area to be proactive in resettlement arrangements for people when implementing projects.
