In this list, many veterans such as Chanathip Songkrasin, Teerasil Dangda, Sarach Yooyen, Theerathon Bunmathan... were not on the list.
However, the Golden Temple team's squad is still considered very strong, notably including Ekanit Panya, Supachai, Suphanat, Nicholas Mickelson, Kritsada, Pansa Hemviboon, Chalermsak, Jonathan Khemdee, Worachit, Ben Davis... In this training session, coach Masatada Ishii only called up one new player, defender Kritsada Nontharat (True Bangkok United).
With this squad, the "War Elephants" are still capable of challenging regional opponents, aiming to win the AFF Cup 2024. It is not surprising that the Thai team showed high determination at the AFF Cup 2024 when this team could not enter the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup, so they focused all their efforts on the regional playground with the goal of winning the championship.
