Starting from Marcelo's poor clearance, Nathan Ake rushed up and fired a powerful long-range shot that the goalkeeper struggled to block, and Julian Alvarez finished with his chest to break through the Fluminense net.

The fate of the FIFA Club World Cup final seemed sealed in the 27th minute when Man City doubled their lead. Centre-back Nino accidentally kicked the ball into his own net while trying to block Phil Foden's cross.

Man City's superiority and constant pressure prevented Fluminense from causing any surprises. Coach Pep Guardiola and his team then forced their opponents into a "disruptive" situation in the final minutes.

Phil Foden made it 3-0 in the 72nd minute with a cool finish from Julian Alvarez's cross. In the 88th minute, Julian Alvarez completed a brace against Fluminense, sealing a 4-0 win for Man City.

With a resounding victory over Fluminense, Man City won the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time. Pep Guardiola's team also completed a "quintuple" of: Premier League, FA Cup, European Cup 1, European Super Cup and FIFA Clip World Cup.
