On the morning of February 28, Thanh Mien district organized land reclamation for 12 households in Thanh Mien town to implement the Thanh Mien new urban area project.
In 2020, the Provincial People's Committee approved the investment policy to implement the Thanh Mien new urban area project with a total area of 91.3 hectares. The project is invested by a consortium of Anh Quang Investment LLC, Thai Duong Construction Investment and Commercial Services and Hoang Thanh.
On January 6, 2023, Thanh Mien district issued a decision to reclaim land from 720 households in Thanh Mien town and Lam Son commune. By February 28, 612 households had agreed to hand over land to implement the project with a total area of over 81 hectares. There are 108 households with an area of about 10 hectares who have not agreed to the compensation plan to support site clearance. 12 households in Thanh Mien town are in phase 1 of the project.
In order to promptly hand over phase 1 land to the investor to implement the project, the Chairman of Thanh Mien District People's Committee issued a decision to forcibly reclaim 9,543 m2 of land from these 12 households. The organization was carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring security and order.
Previously, Thanh Mien district organized dialogues and actively promoted and mobilized households to hand over the site early so that the project could be implemented on schedule.
