On the morning of June 23, the Women's Union of Thai Binh city held a conference to review the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2023. In the first 6 months of the year, the Women's Union at all levels coordinated to present 1,185 gifts with a total value of 489 million VND to policy families, poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances. The whole city has 364 orphans receiving monthly support under the "Godmother" program. The City Women's Union and its facilities registered to implement 17 "Dan van nghe" models, with 24 projects and tasks participating in the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas. In addition, the Women's Union at all levels also had many activities to accompany and support women in economic development, including credit guarantees with banks for more than 152 billion VND for more than 3,000 households to borrow; supporting the establishment of a cooperative group, coordinating vocational training, and creating jobs for many women.
In the coming time, women's unions at all levels in Thai Binh city will continue to promote propaganda and implement resolutions of party congresses and resolutions of women's congresses at all levels; and care for women's legitimate rights and interests.
