Love Chemical Engineering but worried about toxicity

VnExpressVnExpress19/09/2023

I heard some people advise against pursuing this industry because it is toxic, I hope to receive advice from seniors.

I am currently a first-year student majoring in Chemical Engineering at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. I chose this major because I am very passionate about it. However, I read some people's opinions saying that this major will be very toxic after working and advise against pursuing it long-term.

I would like to ask for information about jobs and jobs related to the major of my seniors. In addition, to be able to work, what skills do I need to cultivate? Can you share in detail the difficulties and experiences you have gone through for my reference?

Thank you all very much.

Nguyen Nam
