On August 15, a ceremony was held to open a hotline between the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and the General Command of the Royal Cambodian Army.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, said that bilateral defense cooperation has developed comprehensively and become increasingly effective in recent times, affirming its position as one of the important pillars of the Vietnam - Cambodia relationship.
The deployment of the hotline by the two countries' armies is of great significance, contributing to deepening the friendly and traditional relationship between the two countries in general and the two armies in particular.
General Vong Veasna, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Army, emphasized the importance of implementing the hotline, contributing to promoting the increasingly close relationship between the two countries' armies.
