In 2024, the People's Committee of Son La province has allocated capital for the National Target Program 1719 in accordance with regulations. Accordingly, the total investment capital assigned is nearly 916 billion VND, of which more than 872 billion VND is from the central budget; over 43.6 billion VND is from the local budget.
The People's Committee of Son La province has allocated capital to localities to implement 10 projects, including: Solving the shortage of residential land, housing, production land, and domestic water; planning, arranging, and stabilizing the population in necessary places; supporting forest protection contracts for special-use forests and supporting production development according to value chains; investing in electricity and essential infrastructure to serve production and life in ethnic minority areas; developing education and training to improve the quality of human resources; preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities; taking care of people's health; implementing gender equality; investing in the development of very small ethnic minority groups...
Mr. Nguyen Van Thu, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, said that in 2025, Son La province will continue to decentralize and empower localities and people to implement the program to enhance the initiative and flexibility of all levels in managing and organizing the implementation of the National Target Program 1719. Diversify the mobilization of resources and synchronously implement management measures, strengthen the integration of capital sources to focus on investment, support disadvantaged communes and villages; prioritize support for poor households and ethnic minority groups that still face many difficulties; prioritize areas lacking essential infrastructure. Promote and effectively implement the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit", "The State and people work together" in implementing specific projects and models.
