Promoting friendship and cooperation in Quang Nam

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung said that in recent times, Quang Nam has established friendly and cooperative relations with many localities and organizations of Korea. In particular, Tam Ky city has established a sister city with Dalseo district (Daegu city), Nam Tra My has established a sister city with Hamyang district (Gyeong Sangnam province). Many Korean enterprises such as Panko and Hyosung have invested in many very successful projects in Tam Thang Industrial Park (Tam Ky city). The Korean government has provided Quang Nam with many projects in the fields of health and education such as the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Children's Hospital, Quang Nam Central General Hospital, etc.

Quang Nam and Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province (South Korea) signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a friendly cooperative relationship in 2013. However, the cooperation activities between the two localities are still modest, only stopping at exchanging delegations and visiting each other. Comrade Le Van Dung hopes that this visit by the delegation of Yongin City leaders will strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two localities, opening up cooperation opportunities, especially in the field of tourism .

Thanking the leaders of Quang Nam province for their warm welcome, Mr. Lee Sang-il - Mayor of Yongin City said that this visit and working session will help strengthen the relationship between the two localities. In particular, Yongin City will support Tam Ky City to build a digital community library at the Korean International Lotus Village Education and Welfare Complex (An Phu Ward, Tam Ky City).

At the meeting, the leaders of Quang Nam province and Yongin city sent invitations to participate in national and international programs and festivals held in the two localities in the coming time. This is an opportunity for the two localities to enhance understanding and promote cooperation opportunities.
