Responding to the press about the reason why the Vietnamese youth table tennis team did not train at the Hanoi Sports Training Center (abbreviated as the center) as stated in the summoning decision, but instead switched to training at the My Dinh National Sports Complex, the Department of Sports and Physical Training said that the center did not have enough space to ensure that more than 40 teams and youth teams regularly trained every year.

The coaching board of the Vietnamese youth table tennis team no longer has the names of the two coaches as in this decision but has been replaced after the recent scandal.

The Department of Sports and Physical Training informed: "According to statistics, currently, there are about 1,000 people training at the center. Due to objective difficulties in training conditions and facilities at the center, in order to meet the requirements of training and practice of the teams, the industry must organize training at other facilities in different locations or localities. For example, the National Sports Complex or training and competition at training and competition centers in other provinces and cities in Hai Phong, Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh . The center implements the payment of monthly salary and food allowances into the separate accounts of each coach and athlete".

The Vietnam youth table tennis team has 10 players, 3 of whom are orphans, so they asked the head coach to keep the money for them because they do not have their own accounts, so that at the end of the year they can receive the money they sent to the coach. After discovering that the coach was holding the money for them, the Department of Sports and Physical Training asked the coach to return the money to the players.

Also sharing with the press, the leader of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: "The Ministry has actively intervened and handled the situation as soon as information about the meals of the Vietnamese youth table tennis team was received. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the Department of Sports and Physical Training to conduct a general inspection and review of all training plans of the national teams (including youth teams), and report to the Ministry before October 20. Including issues related to facilities serving the training of the teams, funding for living and meals of the teams, in accordance with state regulations". The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires that work related to the teams must not only ensure professionalism but also be transparent and ensure the strictness of the law.

The Department of Sports and Physical Training added that if any youth team is found to have committed violations in athlete management, the department will handle it strictly.
