Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has just reported on tourism activities in the first 9 months and key directions and tasks for the last 3 months of 2024.

Accordingly, international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City in the first 9 months of 2024 are estimated at 4.014 million, up 12.4% over the same period in 2023, reaching 66.9% of the 2024 plan. Domestic tourists to Ho Chi Minh City in the first 9 months are estimated at 27.353 million, up 1.3% over the same period in 2023, reaching 72% of the 2024 plan.

Total tourism revenue in the first 9 months is estimated at VND 140,398 billion, up 11.9% over the same period in 2023, reaching 73.9% of the 2024 plan.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in the first 9 months of 2024, tourism product development will continue to focus on typical products, while actively promoting cultural, historical, waterway, medical , MICE tourism, improving the quality of culinary services, contributing to increasing the attractiveness of destinations in the city.

In addition, information and promotion activities are promoted and implemented to create efficiency and spread in promoting the image of Ho Chi Minh City tourism to tourists with the emphasis on promoting the application of information technology to bring activities to online platforms to create effects, interactivity and high spread.
