150 gifts were given in the program 'Border Guard Spring warms the hearts of seafarers'

150 gifts were given to families in difficult circumstances in Do Son district, Hai Phong city.

On the afternoon of January 16, at the People's Committee of Hai Son Ward (Do Son District), the Hai Phong City Border Guard Command coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, the City Women's Union and the People's Committee of Do Son District to organize the program "Border Spring warms the hearts of seafarers" on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Khac Nam acknowledged and praised the practical work and noble gestures of the Border Guard soldiers, Front officers, and Women's officers. The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee hopes that the Border Guard force will continue to coordinate with agencies and units to implement many practical programs and activities to support policy families and families in difficult circumstances, while comprehensively implementing measures to protect sovereignty and security in sea, island, and port areas.

At the program, the City Border Guard Command presented 150 gifts to policy families, families in difficult circumstances and poor students who overcame difficulties in the program "Helping children go to school" in Do Son district. Each gift included: 1 national flag, 1 million VND in cash and 5 kg of rice. The gifts expressed the affection and responsibility of the officers and soldiers of the City Border Guard, aiming to share material difficulties, helping people celebrate Tet more fully and completely.

As part of the series of activities of the program “Spring Border Guard warms the hearts of sea people”, this year, the City Border Guard Command directed units to organize activities to care for Tet for people in the coastal and island border areas of the city through practical activities such as: visiting and giving gifts to policy households and families in difficult circumstances; providing free medical examination and medicine; organizing cultural and sports activities in the locality, etc.
