BTO-The DNSE Aquaman Vietnam Tournament - The first biathlon (Swimming - Running) tournament in Vietnam, has ended and awarded prizes at NovaWorld Phan Thiet Economic Tourism Entertainment Urban Area - Tien Thanh commune, Phan Thiet city.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attended the closing ceremony and award ceremony.
The DNSE Aquaman Vietnam, Phan Thiet 2023 combined swimming and running tournament has nearly 1,500 athletes with 4 main distances: Aquakid (200m swim, 1km run) for children from 6 years old to under 10 years old. Sprint Aquaman (500m swim, 5km run) for athletes over 10 years old, Half Aquaman (1km swim, 10km run) for athletes 16 years old and up and Full Aquaman (2km swim, 21km run) for athletes 18 years old and up. The tournament promises to bring athletes new challenges with a running track stretching along 7km of coastline. According to the route, all athletes will start the swimming race at Miami Bikini Beach Park and the running race at Bikini Beach Square, NovaWorld Phan Thiet.
This is the first sports tournament organized with 2 combined events to bring a new experience. Through that, the image of the locality will be introduced to friends, domestic and international athletes. The Provincial People's Committee has taken the safest preparations for athletes during the competition, as well as mobilized forces and means to have a rescue plan. This is also an opportunity for athletes and their relatives to enjoy the fresh sea breeze and impressive and unique entertainment and resort services at NovaWorld Phan Thiet.
The tournament hopes to contribute to promoting the Aquathlon (swimming and running) sports movement in Vietnam . Thereby , aiming to build the Aquaman Vietnam sports tournament into an annual tournament held in Binh Thuan .
