On the morning of August 2, at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Da Nang Business Pickleball Tournament - competing for the DPF Cup, the Da Nang City Pickleball Federation officially launched a team of referees with Asian certification, marking a new step forward in expertise for this young sport in Vietnam.

According to the Da Nang City Pickleball Federation, 25 referees of the unit have successfully completed the training course organized by the Asian Pickleball Federation. During the course, the referees were directly trained by regional experts, then had to go through 10 actual matches under close supervision.
Only those who demonstrate good executive ability, apply the law correctly and make no mistakes will be certified.

Mr. Alet Nguyen, referee of Da Nang City Pickleball Federation, shared: “The training course not only improves match management skills, but also helps us update the entire latest pickleball law system according to international standards, especially the changes from the US BBA law applied from 2025”.
Also according to Alet Nguyen, the referee team of Da Nang City, in addition to managing city-level tournaments, will soon participate in supporting professional work for neighboring provinces such as Quang Tri, Quang Ngai , Hue City...

"The Da Nang City Pickleball Federation is making efforts to contribute to the development of the pickleball movement in the region, especially in terms of expertise," said Mr. Alet Nguyen.
Previously, the referee team of Da Nang City had undergone many training courses at national and regional levels and private training courses organized by the Da Nang City Pickleball Federation.

The 2025 Da Nang Business Pickleball Tournament - DPF Cup is a large-scale tournament for officials and employees from state-owned and private enterprises in Da Nang City. The tournament is organized to respond to Resolution 68 of the Politburo on developing the private economic sector, the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and to celebrate major holidays such as the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Canh, Permanent Vice President of Da Nang City Pickleball Federation, Head of the Organizing Committee (OC), affirmed: "We hope that through the tournament, we will create a healthy playground, promote connection and exchange between businesses, and at the same time develop the Pickleball movement into an annual activity in the city's business community."

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's prize money is worth up to 400 million VND, including trophies, medals and gifts. In particular, the winning team of the "Super Cup" will receive a souvenir trophy and valuable prizes from sponsors.
