Notable in this list is the return of midfielder Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha, after a period of absence due to injury, promising to strengthen the midfield of the Vietnamese team.

Coach Mai Duc Chung and his colleagues also continue to trust and give opportunities to many promising young faces such as Nguyen Thi Truc Huong and Tran Thi Thu Xuan (Vietnam Coal and Minerals), bringing a new breeze to the team in the journey to conquer the regional arena. Compared to the initial call-up list, there are 5 names that have to say goodbye before the AFF Cup.

The 5 eliminated players include: Nguyen Thi Hoa ( Hanoi ), Le Thi Bao Tram (Vietnam Coal and Minerals), Cu Thi Huynh Nhu (Ho Chi Minh City), Ngoc Minh Chuyen (Thai Nguyen T&T), Tuyet Ngan (Ho Chi Minh City). Among the 5 eliminated players, there are some names that leave many regrets.

The most regrettable of these is Ngoc Minh Chuyen, a young striker with potential and impressive performances in the recent period with the Vietnam women's team. The captain of the Vietnam U20 women's team, Le Thi Bao Tram, is also not on the official list for the 2025 AFF Cup.

Among the 23 official players participating in the 2025 AFF Women's Cup, Coach Mai Duc Chung only has 2 strikers, Hai Yen and Huynh Nhu. This is a real concern because both of these strikers, despite their extensive playing experience, have been somewhat affected by their age, while Ngoc Minh Chuyen was not retained in the final list.

Group B includes Australia, Philippines, Myanmar and Timor Leste, starting from August 7 at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho .
