Mobilizing fugitives from abroad to surrender

With the persuasion and encouragement of the border guards and Ha Tinh police, Tran Quang Trung (born in 1981) voluntarily returned from Thailand to Vietnam to surrender.

At 9:40 a.m. on July 4, at the Cau Treo International Border Gate Border Guard Station (Ha Trai village, Son Kim 1 commune, Huong Son), the Cau Treo International Border Gate Border Guard Station (Ha Tinh Border Guard) coordinated with the Investigation Security Department (PA09) of Ha Tinh Provincial Police to receive a wanted criminal who surrendered to enter Vietnam from Laos, Tran Quang Trung (born December 17, 1981), residing in Cu Lam village, Vuong Loc commune, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province.

Subject Tran Quang Trung was issued wanted notice No. 111 by Ha Tinh Police on July 13, 2021 for the crime of "Organizing others to flee abroad" under Article 349 of the Penal Code.

At the Cau Treo International Border Gate Border Guard Station, working with the authorities, Tran Quang Trung expressed remorse and honestly confessed in hopes of receiving leniency from the law.

On the same day, the Cau Treo International Border Gate Border Guard Station completed the procedures and handed over the person to the Ha Tinh Provincial Police Department's investigation security agency for further handling according to legal regulations.
